This particular feature is completely a new as no mobile operating system so far has been able to provide its users a service enabling them to view movies or pictures while being on a chat. The PIP is a unique feature that will provide a complete entertainment to the users.

Supported by various new Java 8 APIs and runtime optimizations, Android O offers a high-quality Bluetooth audio codes and WiFi features such as WiFi Aware-based Neighborhood Aware Networking. Moreover, the Connection Service APIs have been upgraded to support calling apps that wish to inform Telecom of their calls without having the system Phone app to display the call.

Although the company has launched the developer preview images, the first preview image won’t be stable until Q3 of 2017. The schedule is similar to Google’s Android Nougat preview program launched in 2016.

The launch of the developer preview image does not mean that it will be rolled out to the Android Beta program. A complete rollout would take some time. The search engine giant, Google, has asked developers to make their app compatible with Android O so that their users can enjoy a seamless transition when they upgrade.

Google has issued a complete guide about the Android O on its official website.
